I thought there was a thread covering this, but now I can't find it:

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to use seaweed from the shore instead of seasol or any form of seaweed concentrate? Is there any disadvantage of using it? Would you put it into the grow bed?

    Cheers, Thomas

i think seaweed would need to break down before the plants can take it up, maybe compost it first or feed it to worms after washing some of the salt off, tho in doing that you may also lose much of the mineral content,
