We have enjoyed giving this service free of charge however ongoing increasing financial costs of running this service is making it increasingly difficult. Up until now we have resisted advertising as a means of a revenue stream to help run this forum but it has become inevitable that extra revenue is required to run this forum.

We have introduced a donate button to help offset the cost of running this forum. It is completely voluntary, but if you would like to donate, all donations would be greatly appreciated.

Garlic in a floating raft I never would of imagined it. I use nearly half a square meter dirt garden just to get what you get in one bunch! Its a revelation!
Now I want a floating raft. I think I can find a spot in the gravel beds some way. My concept of growing garlic has just been radically awakened. I never grow enough of it.
Amazing thread. I just got to the end of it after starting reading it months ago.

    Thanks Francois.

    Hi Stimson
    better late than never
apologies for only replying to your question now
for now I only rely on the water action
all throughout my system the water is basically flowing with gravity to different levels...something like a small fountains

Peas are looking really good Francois, and the lettuce. Is that Frizmo or Coral?... have you tried the Oakleaf?

Have you had a crop of garlic out before?... is there any issue with rotting?

    Nice plants Francois!

    Quick few questions to all.

My poc AP is running fine, but plants got a knock with the cold.(system is outside, no greenhouse). Am upgrading to a bigger flowbin aka ibc system. Am in 2 minds to either put it indoors or keep it outside? Should the system outdoors, no greenhouse, in direct sun for 90% of the day, or is 50% direct sun with a greenhouse a better choice?

I have to keep temperatures in mind, as we can get 27-35c in summer and around -2c in winter.

    IMG_5212.JPG IMG_5217.JPG Hi All
the aquaponic system starting to look good with new plants
    I had a snail problem
the snail ate all 21 lettuce seedlings growing in the system
3-4 plants per night and I just could not find him.
    eventually I found the destroyer
